The Department of Neighborhoods manages the Municipality’s U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grants. These grants include the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME). Assistive Technology (AT) includes both devices and services. A device is any item or piece of equipment used to maintain or improve the functional capabilities of a person with a disability. Many high-tech and low-tech devices are now available to assist people with disabilities with daily living tasks, communication, education, work, and recreation.

The Alaska Resource Manual is a comprehensive, statewide health and human service directory published by Access Alaska for over 15 years.  The Alaska Resource Manual is an invaluable information and referral resource tool for social service providers and non-profit organizations serving low-income families who require health and human services.
